How it works

You pay a one off registration fee which is for life and we will vet any flooring installer you put forward we will inform you of his current CSCS card and any NVQ he / she may hold we will confirm his/her standing in the contract market.

Independent floorcoverings inspection

We also offer a full independent inspection service with expert witnesses that carry the certification County court our services cover Carpets Hard flooring and wood flooring which includes laminate flooring.
Our head of the inspection service is Sid Bourne who is recognised as the foremost expert in all aspects of floorcoverings. This service is open to contract and trail traders and customers.

Technical Support for contractors and retailers

We at Flooring Assessments offer the all flooring manufacturers in the UK and in Europe an investigation and report service. An inspection report will say if a complaint is a manufacturing fault, a fitting error, a storage issue or the result of a consumer's actions. Our inspectors will only report to the manufacturer or retailer / contractor.

In order to keep up with developments within the industry all of our field and office staff are regularly involved in visits to the manufacturing plants and undertake in-house training.

We have a team of dedicated technical operatives. These staff are selected and trained to deliver a skilled, efficient and courteous service and as they all work directly and exclusively for us, we retain control over every aspect of each complaint.

Our technical team have been trained to recognise defects across the vast range of floorcoverings available and is now fully equipped to deal with specialised market of hard flooring & wood floorcoverings. Every hard covering report includes a room plan, photograph and details of the moisture readings we took on site. All our reports include a firm conclusion. They provide all the information required to settle a consumer complaint with one single visit.
